Hello,
I am sorry it has taken me so long to communicate with you again. We had some difficulty arranging a place to have our first annual This Is What I Do art show. The point of the show is to exhibit the incredible talent of Tri-Cities artists. We hope to start a dialog between all walks of visual artists and help develop a tolerance and appreciation of people who have different visions. All mediums and genres are invited and all are accepted as meaningful to the individual producer. All art, hopefully, will represent the essence of This Is What I Do. There is no time limit for when the piece was produced or size limit on this work.
Brooke Yount has invited us into the You & I Framing Shop and Gallery and for that we are very grateful. The show will be in the month of April 2010. There are some requirements:
1. All flat work must be ready to hang with a wire. No metal hooks allowed. Her hanging system will not hold if you don’t use a wire
2. All work should be family friendly. You & I is a family operation and it is important for our show to be invitational to their clientele.
3. All work must be delivered on March 30 between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm for the First Thursday Art Walk in April 2010. If this is a problem, notify me and I can pick your art up and deliver. Take down is May 5th during open hours.
4. All work must be accompanied with a business size card containing the artist’s name, title of piece, medium and price. This card will be the label hanging next to the art work, so please print carefully.
5. Also Brooke wants an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper with name, title, price and contact information in case she needs to get hold of you or a customer wants to commission you.
6. We are limited to one piece per participant.
7. The management might have to exercise some limitations due to space, content and unsafe presentation.
If anyone wants to help out with the advertising costs, you can donate money to either Brooke or me. This is not a requirement.
We will be posting information on our web page patrickflemingart.net Please visit it or e-mail us at patricflm1@verizon.net
Artistically yours,
Pat Fleming
To clear up a question, We will have business-card-sized cards available for you to fill out at at You and I Framing and Gallery. The cards will have a space for name, medium, title, price and contact information. If you want to print your own cards, feel free.
Don't forget, Brooke wants the same information on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper for her records.
